  7. Kristi Says:

I checked out the Green Nursery Tips. I didn’t know that soft plastic toys can leach out phthalates. I’ll opt for wood toys.

Wee Generation is a unique collaborative partnership between Seventh Generation, Healthy Child Healthy World, and Rickshaw. They offer safe health products for your children and the planet~! I also learned to open windows as the pollution outside is less than 5 times as the house air we breath. I have been using a damp cloth to dust with for years so I was glad to read I was doing something right. Now I’m planning screens for the windows tomorrow. Thanks for having this giveaway. Bye for now.

    This fact always amazes me:
“Remarkably, the air inside the average home is 2-5 times more polluted than the air outside. These crucial ideas will make sure you and your baby breathe a whole lot easier.”

It’s especially true when you think of how we try to seal up our homes against the cold and then buy toxic furniture and other manufactured goods. It’s pretty scary! I try to outgas things before I bring them inside and also I don’t use any harmful cleaning chemicals or air freshener sprays. I’d love to win this bag, as I’m a big Seventh Generation fan. I’d love to try the baby laundry detergent. Thanks for sharing!

  39. andrea Says:

Something I learned . . . well I think realized is a better word . . . was that cleaning products leave a film on surfaces and fumes in the air and we should use organic cleaners. I am always careful not to use noxious chemicals around my daughter, but I never really thought about the residue. . . hmmmm guess I need to switch over to exclusively green cleaners.

  40. Stacy Says:

Sheryl Crow has a kid? Huh.. interesting.. I like that she had an eco-baby shower. I’m not sure there’s enough eco-friendly items to register for at Wal-mart or Target..but it kinda puts people on a mission.
