Miracle Blanket

by

I have been hearing a lot about this miracle blanket for infants. It is a blanket that helps you swaddle your newborn into that cute burrito we all love.
My husband and I got the hang of swaddling quickly and my son really needed to be swaddled and it needed to be tight for him to relax or sleep. He grew out of the receiving blankets before too long though and swaddling became much more difficult.

The web site claims that the blanket stops or reduces fussiness and helps baby sleep better, deeper and longer. It has no zippers, snaps or velcro. It also comes with a 100% lifetime guarantee so if you are not happy with it yo could return it, which is always nice.

Has anyone ever tried this? Does it work as effectively as it says it does?

These are very popular in the UK. I got one (not this exact brand) for my daughter who needed to be swaddled for the first few months. It wasn’t as amazing as her other blankets because she was so small and it didn’t fit her well. But I could see that if she had been full size it would have been pretty nifty.

We got one as a gift, and really liked it a lot. It was especially nice once our son started kicking out of his smaller receiving blankets. The MB was too big for him (an average-sized full-term newborn), so instead of trying to fold it down, we just stuck with the regular receiving blankets at first. Later, though, the Miracle Blanket kept him swaddled and happy for a while longer.
