Massage Onesie

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

onsie.jpg

Studies show that massage is not just terrific for adults but also for babies. We know how a massage makes us feel and we know massage promotes overall health and well-being. Baby Massage Snuggie Touch of Love is a long sleeve onesie that can help you with massaging your baby.

This was designed as a collaboration between a Pediatric Chiropractor and a clothing designer. This long sleeve onesie has colorful icons clearly mark pressure points making massage simple. Massaging your baby can help you bond and help your infant calm down and fall asleep especially when done as a ritual like a bottle, bath, massage, bed.

It comes with a instruction sheet to help you with the pressure points. It comes in a cute gift bag and is a perfect gift for a new mom or for a baby shower.

Handmade Hats

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

elmo.jpg

We bring home our cute bundles of joy from the hospital and we are unaware that in a year or so they will all be Elmo freaks. I don’t know what it is about that red animal that all the kids just LOVE him? My twins were no exception, they just had to have everything with “melmo” on it.

Again, I know I will be singing the praises of Etsy, but I just love handmade, natural things and creative people. I have found a seller that can help many parents with their need of anything and everything Elmo. Check out this handmade Elmo purse. Crocheted with Red, White, Black, and Orange yarn and the eyes and nose have the 3D look. It measures 7 x7 and has a velcro closure that is easy for little hands. They also have a matching crocheted Elmo hat and shirt!

Maybe your baby is too small to dress up for Halloween but you want to do something, or maybe you don’t want to pay a ton of money for a costume for a baby. What about just a hat for the baby for Halloween? He or she could be shrek, a skeleton, big bird , a puppy or Oscar the grouch. These hats are adorable and unique for any reason, I will be buying some of these for my new baby. For $13.99 each they will not break the bank either!

shirt.jpg
I am always looking for a cute onesie or shirt for my kids. I love original, soft, organic things, but sometimes cannot afford such things for kids who grow out of them so fast. If you read this blog with any frequency you will know I LOVE Etsy, not only supporting crafty people making homemade things but also because of its unique items.

This deer and toadstool tee or onesie is exactly what I love in kid’s clothing. It is hand silk screen printed using non-toxic water based ink on an organic cotton shirt. The onesie come sin 3-6 or 6-12 month sizes and the t-shirt comes in 2T or 4T.
They also have other animal print shirts for sale all for $26.00.

Cutest Hats Around

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

It has been unseasonably cool here in NJ the last few days so it has got me thinking of fall weather. I LOVE these beanies from kangaroodle. These soft handmade hats are the cutest things I have seen. They are measure by head circumference and range from 0-6 months to 4+ years. They look very warm too.

They come as a beanie, with a rim or even with ear flaps. Could you think of anything more adorable for the cool days of fall?

Poncho For Baby

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Here in New Jersey it has been a little cool the past few days. It reminds you to get ready for fall and all the clothes you have to buy for your kids! I love a poncho I bought for my daughter from the Gap last year. I am hoping it still fits her because he is adorable in it, but if she doesn’t, I found a new one for her.

Kangaroodles.com has ponchos in a variety of colors for baby and kids. They come in sizes 6 months to 4T. They are made of soft fleecy cotton and are very easy to get on and off because they have no armholes. They are fringed with pompoms and has a tassle on the hood. One word for these ponchos: adorable!

No More Plain White Socks

Friday, July 6th, 2007

Little baby shocks are probably one of the cutest tiny baby items you will purchase. They are soft and impossible tiny, you can never imagine any baby’s foot in them. Then when your child gets home and the socks are too big you realize just how small and sweet your baby is.

I wish they had these cute socks for my kids when they were babies.
Look at these adorable mary jane socks! Six different colors to match any ensemble.

They Grow So Fast

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

If there is one thing Moms love to do is shop for baby clothes. They are so teeny, fluffy soft and cute! You want to buy one of everything and get all the accessories to match.
Soon you learn that you spent $48.00 on a outfit he wore one or two times and then grew out of. It is a bad feeling, because they grow so fast, and you love cute clothes for them, but you don’t want to be wasteful.

You need to go to change your clothes. You send them your gently used children’s clothing. Then they go over what you have sent and then they will assign a point value to each of your items and send you an email notification. The point value, which will automatically be credited to your user account, can be used to get other clothes on the site. Then you can order what you like from the site and your points will never expire.

Becoming a member is free and unless you have someone who can use your children’s outgrown clothes, I couldn’t think of a better idea of what to do with them!

Snap!

Monday, June 18th, 2007

How cute are twins? Really, my little bundles of pink and blue that I came home from the hospital with were so adorable.
I did dress them matchy, matchy for a little while and for special occasions, but I do not any more.
I promise.
Well, I do dress them in the same color when we go to public places but that is for safety reasons.

I would have loved these shirts from minifashionista. They are adorable and would have been perfect fro my wonder twins!
